Hey there! I’m Elissa—also known online as Not Your Average School Counselor. I’m a full-time middle school counselor in Georgia with a serious love for mindfulness, creative interventions, and all things student success. I started this space to share real-world ideas, helpful resources, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of what it’s actually like to support students today.
